Dear Residents,
We are writing to clarify the correct charges for replacement or additional Apasses, also known as door fobs, and transmitters, also known as car park fobs.
It has come to our attention that some residents may have been charged £50 for car park fobs that were either lost, reported as faulty, or requested as an additional fob. We would like to provide clarity on the correct process and charges.
Residents are only required to pay for a car park fob where the original fob has been lost or where an additional fob is requested.
If a resident reports that their car park fob is faulty, a temporary replacement fob may be issued while the original fob is reviewed. If the fob is confirmed to be faulty, it will be replaced free of charge, and the temporary fob must be returned.
However, if no fault is found following the review, the relevant replacement fee will apply.
The confirmed charges are as follows:
Apass: £20
Transmitter: £40
If you have paid £50 for a transmitter, also known as a car park fob, you may be entitled to a refund for the difference. Residents affected by this should contact or visit the CTR
Where a resident has reported a faulty Apass or transmitter and has been charged for a replacement, a refund may also be issued once the fault has been confirmed. If a temporary fob has been provided, the refund will be processed when the temporary fob is returned.
