Dear Residents
Important Notice: Bin Collection Issues and Fire Hazard
We are writing to you regarding a serious issue with the communal bin area outside our blocks, which is now affecting every single resident.
The local council recently refused to collect our household waste due to a large amount of bulk waste dumped directly in front of the communal bins, due to lack of access to pull the bins out
More importantly, leaving large items, furniture, or bulk waste in this area creates a severe fire hazard and blocks emergency access points. We must respect our block and ensure the safety of everyone.
Please remember the following guidelines forward:
- Use official channels: If you have large items to dispose of you must arrange a collection directly through Newham Council’s bulky waste service or take them to a local reuse and recycling center Reference number should be obtained for all bulk retained by Newham council Large Items and Bulky waste – Large items and Bulky Waste Collections – Newham Council, 020 8430 2000 and reference number needs to be obtained for all bulk reported to Newham
- Keep access clear: The area in front of the bins must always remain completely clear so that the waste collection teams can do their jobs.
- Pinnacle Collection (Under 3 Items): Pinnacle will collect up to 3 bulk items every Wednesday. Residents must contact the office on Tuesday and advise the office that they must be collected. After the first three free items the cost will be £30.00 per household.
Thank you for your immediate cooperation in keeping our home safe and clean.
